Does Acupuncture hurt?

Rarely, and if so, not much. As a culture, we are needle-phobic. Our first and usually only experience with needles is with thick hypodermics, which do indeed cause pain. Acupuncture needles, however, are extremely thin. They are inserted quickly and shallowly. People are usually amazed that they feel so little.

Only sterile disposable needles are used.
